Roads & Grounds Committee Responsibilities

As stated in the Seascape Association Bylaws Article X COMMITTEES, Section 3:

4.   Roads & Grounds.
      a.  Responsible for maintenance of roads, for the gate at Sunrise Beach

          (formerly known as B Beach), and for enforcement of the rules governing

           their use.

 

Responsibilities

1. Maintenance and upkeep of all roads within Seascape.

2. Maintenance and upkeep of all storm drains within Seascape.

3. Maintenance and upkeep of all landscaping around the 6 islands and tennis area.

   1. Entrance to Seascape

   2. Cul-de-sac at end of Anchorage Road

   3. Cul-de-sac at end of Waterside Drive

   4. Island between HighCrest Drive and Waterside Drive

   5. Island on Waterside Drive near Sunrise “B” Beach

   6. Island on Waterside Drive adjacent to 190 Waterside Drive

4. The Road Committee, in conjunction with the Beach Committee, is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the A Beach parking lot and the access road and turnaround at B Beach.

5. Maintenance and upkeep of Sunrise “B” Beach gate and locking mechanism to ensure gate functions properly.

Tasks

1. Every spring, check road surfaces and determine if road repair or resurfacing of roads are required.

   1. Interview at least 3 road companies to determine best price and quality for road repair.

   2. Obtain approval from Board? To perform required road work.

2. Hire landscaping company to perform maintenance from Memorial Weekend through Columbus weekend?

   1. Spring and Fall Cleanup of 6 islands

   2. Weekly mowing of: which of the 6 islands require mowing?    Any other areas?
